Director Mathew McCollough testified on Friday, November 9th before the Committee on Transportation and the Environment, Council of the District of Columbia, and the Honorable Mary Cheh, Chairperson. Mayor Bowser proclaims that October 15th 2018 as Blind Americans Equality Day also known as White Cane Day. We celebrate the achievements of our peers who are blind and low vision and recognize the importance of white canes, guide dogs, and assistive technology as tools for greater independence.
