The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program pays benefits to adults and children with disabilities who have limited income and resources. SSI benefits also are payable to people 65 and older without disabilities who meet the financial limits. This federal government program is administered by the Social Security Administration (SSA) and not ODR.
To apply for SSI disability and blind benefits:
- Complete the Adult Disability Report or the Child Disability Report; (online or in person) and
- Schedule an appointment to complete the application for SSI.
