"For 30 years, the ADA has been the landmark legislation working to safeguard inclusion of the DC disability community at varying levels. It is incumbent upon us to ensure that the community is not left behind when it comes to policies and regulations. The ADA secures the civil rights of our community, giving us the ability to live and thrive in DC. My goal as a Commissioner is to continue the work of safeguarding this important law - not only for our community now, but for future generations of Washingtonians."
